Low resource security for gamers
BitDefender GameSafe is a security suite aimed firmly at gamers, so you can play games without fear of interruption.
Many antivirus suites have a reputation for using up system resources, so BitDefender GameSafe is designed to be light on resources. It features a gamer mode, which minimizes all process, stops any auto updates and anything else that might interfere with a gaming session.
Installing BitDefender GameSafe is relatively simple, but be warned that you will need to remove other security software. The preliminary scan of your PC may take a while, but after that BitDefender GameSafe works pretty much like any other seciurity suite. It is light on resources, and doesn't interfere with your gaming, although it's default settings still impose too much on your desktop for our liking. It is also outdated and not compatible with Windows 7.
If you use XP or Vista and want a simple security suite that won't spoil your enjoyment of gaming, BitDefender GameSafe is a reasonable but not outstanding solution.
